The Institution:

Indian Institution of Export and Import Management (IIEIM) was founded in 1990 as a CAUSE GROUP with GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE. IIEIM is a pioneering organization in the sense that it is the only one of its kind with sharp focus on Foreign Trade / International Business Education, Training and Research. Its Programme are designed to be unique, innovative, Contemporary, significant, futuristic and highly utility oriented. IIEIM is committed to high standards and Needs of the Nation (World). IIEIM was formally inaugurated in 1992 by the then Dy. Minister of Commerce, Govt. of India. It is a non profit Institution registered under the society / Public Trust Act and is a permanent Member of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade – IIFT (set up by the Ministry of Commerce – Govt. of India).

World Trading System which is under going swift and perceptible changes and the imperatives of GLOBALISATION OF BUSINESS has created an increasing need for a new breed of Managers and motivated Entrepreneurs well geared in the art and science of managing enterprises dealing with highly complex International Business environment. In this challenging task, IIEIM -has been able to play a significant role. IIEIM wants to be more effortive, unique and a role model; its role envisages as;- (I) A Centre for Education & Training in the area of International Business for the Corporate Sector and Student Community. (II) A Centre continuously upgrading its knowledge – base to service the needs of the Government, Trade, Industry and research students. (III) A Catalyst synergising new ideas and skills with Global Perspective and for the Globalisation of the Indian / World Economy.

It is for the first time an Educational Institution is dared to blend the Govt., Industry, Students and People truly recognizing the
urgent and the most imperative need of putting them together to make an ‘Emergent India’.

IIEIM Programmes... UNIQUE

The Programmes aim at providing a comprehensive coverage  incorporating all important subject areas and discipline relevant to International Marketing/ Business activities. Equals emphasis has been placed on the quantitative as well as analytical approaches to the study of International Marketing/ Business Management.

The Programmes aim to develop a competent Cadre of Assistants / Executives, Entrepreneurs and Leaders to meet Country’s growing needs in Foreign Trade / international marketing / Business Operations and also to develop knowledge of Export – Import procedures, Practices and Analytical Skills to identify export opportunities emphasizing similarities and differences in the environment, methods of doing business as well as trade and Business practices, procedures and documentation.

At IIEIM focus is on Excellence. You can discover Programmes designed to help you take lead in International Business and become and become adaptable to constantly changing work place. This Institution is concerned particularly with the qualitative delivery of its programmes and its research expertise for the benefit of the community.


Programmes maintain a balance of theory and practical skills and will also sharpen your entrepreneurship skills & business acumen.

Methods of teaching include well – knit printed study material, classes/ Guest Lectures (about 60hrs. per Semester). Workshop,Port/ Field Visits, Case Studies, Seminars, Computer Floppy / A/V Aids, Student Presentation, Group Discussion, Assignment, Roles plays, work shop, independent Research and opportunities to share in Faculty Research coupled with Oral Tests / Interviews and Written Examinations. IIEIM utilizes Faculties / Experts who are both Academically and Professionally qualified to bring in a unique blend of theoretical perspectives and a great sense of reality. The IIEIM quarterly newsletter/ Journal carries relevant and useful articles, data and reports. IIEIM is committed to excellence and needs of the Nation.
